ROWAD Foundation Announces the Launch of the Social Innovation Lab

ROWAD Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Social Innovation Lab, one of the economic development initiatives supported by the Hayel Saeed Anam Group and implemented in partnership with ROWAD Foundation. The lab provides a platform for engaging youth, technologists, entrepreneurs, the private sector, and civil society in finding solutions to the most pressing challenges facing the community in priority sectors, using technology and innovative ideas while encouraging startups.

This edition of the lab will focus on addressing challenges related to agricultural production and agri-tech.

The Social Innovation Lab in Yemen aims to provide innovative solutions to complex social and economic challenges. In its current phase, the project focuses on challenges related to food security, increasing agricultural productivity, and improving livelihoods for farmers in Yemen. This takes into account the unique challenges Yemen faces, such as water scarcity, limited access to resources, instability, climate change, and other issues.

The Social Innovation Lab will serve as a platform for sharing ideas and innovations developed during the project period. A hackathon for innovators, along with workshops, webinars, and podcasts, will be organized to enhance communication and knowledge exchange among participants and the public.
